Team Assistant – Data, Digital & AI (DDAI)

About the role

Join Westpac’s Data, Digital & AI (DDAI) team as a Team Assistant, providing high‑impact operational support to the Head of DDAI DataX & Global Transaction Services and the DDAI Economics team. This fixed‑term position covers a maternity leave and ensures smooth execution of leadership priorities and economics publications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise the diary of the Head of DDAI DataX & GTS, prioritising high‑value activities.
• Prepare, coordinate and follow‑up on leadership meetings, forums and related documentation.
• Provide desktop publishing support for economics content, handling creation, formatting, editing and production using Adobe InDesign and other publishing tools.
• Oversee online publication of economics reports and commentary on the WestpacIQ website, including video content management.
• Schedule and coordinate team meetings, workshops, off‑sites, events and engagement activities, handling venue bookings, logistics and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate people‑management administration such as onboarding, off‑boarding, PeopleHQ requests and employee record maintenance.
• Offer backup support to the Executive Assistant during periods of leave or high workload.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Team Assistant or Executive Assistant role.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Adobe InDesign (desktop publishing).
