Operations Associate

About the role

Pluralis Research is pioneering Protocol Learning, a fully decentralised way to train and deploy AI models. As an Operations Associate you will make things happen behind the scenes, coordinating meetings, travel, events and administrative processes for the CEO and the broader team. This hands‑on, execution‑first position offers early‑career exposure to every part of an AI startup.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CEO’s external engagements by scheduling meetings, calls, dinners and hosted sessions with investors, partners, researchers and candidates.
• Book and manage travel logistics for the CEO and team across Australia and the US, including conferences such as NeurIPS and ICLR.
• Assist with events, offsites, conference presence, Tech Talks and hosted dinners, owning logistics and follow‑through.
• Run day‑to‑day administration: onboarding, equipment requests, expense processing, vendor set‑up, document formatting and maintaining records in Notion and Google Drive.
• Build and improve operational systems, leveraging AI tools to automate routine work.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in administrative, coordination, executive support or operations roles.
• Background in a funded startup (Seed, Series A/B) or venture capital/private equity environment.
• Proven experience supporting an executive team and coordinating multi‑country events.
• Excellent written English, confident with Google Workspace, and quick to adopt Notion, Linear and Slack/Zulip.
• Comfortable working across multiple time zones and using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) in daily workflows.
