About the role

TAFE NSW is looking for a permanent full-time teacher of automotive electrical to join its team at the Albury Campus. The role inspires the next generation of automotive electrical students in a diverse, dynamic and collaborative environment. The advertised salary package is $111,798 to $132,585, which includes a salary range of $98,499 to $116,813 per year plus employer superannuation and annual leave loading, depending on experience.

Required profile

• Appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications, including a minimum of a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent.
• A Fair-Trading NSW tradesperson certificate (license) in the class of "Automotive Electrician"; interstate applicants must be eligible to obtain one.
• Evidence of a teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training, or willingness to complete the full-time 14-week "Paid to Learn" course, which offers guaranteed work after successful completion.
• At least five years of post-qualification experience relevant to the industry, gained within the last five years.
• An ARC refrigeration license is highly regarded but not essential.
• A Working with Children Check is a prerequisite for this child-related position.
• Candidates must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport.
