Lecturer - Construction (Sessional, Full Time)

About the role

Acknowledge Education is seeking a passionate and committed Lecturer to join its Bachelor of Construction and Project Management program. The role contributes to developing and delivering high-quality course content aligned with the Higher Education Standards Framework, in a collaborative environment focused on inclusive, engaging and supportive learning. It is described as a sessional, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver independent, engaging teaching to course students
• Coordinate and lead other staff as required, including teaching and learning meetings
• Assess student learning outcomes through formative and summative assessments
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, report to relevant parties and identify students at risk of failing, offering guidance and support
• Take part in professional development and stay up to date on best practice
• Report breaches of the student Code of Conduct and health and safety concerns

Required profile

• Post-graduate qualification in Construction Project Management or equivalent (AQF 8 or higher)
• Ability to report student conduct breaches and health and safety incidents
• Strong administrative skills and ability to follow directions
• Desirable: completed or in-progress PhD in Construction Project Management or equivalent
• Desirable: tertiary teaching experience with a proven track record
• Desirable: ability to innovate teaching methods and use technology for student engagement
• Desirable: strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with experience teaching diverse student populations
