Casual Educator - Before and After School Care (Albury)

About the role

Wesley Out of School Hours Care, a Wesley Mission service, is offering casual Educator positions for before and after school care and vacation care at Albury Public School and Albury North Public School in Albury, NSW. The educator plays an active, hands-on role in delivering quality experiences for children and supporting the daily running of the service.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to programming and help maintain a safe, engaging environment
• Build positive relationships with children, families and the school community
• Assist with supervision and programming implementation
• Help with compliance tasks and communicate effectively with families
• Create a warm, welcoming environment that reflects the needs of children and the community

Required profile

• Ability to work unsupervised and as an effective team player, with strong initiative, spontaneity and energy
• Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, patience, reliability and emotional maturity
• Encouraging, passionate about engaging activities for children, and able to work with children, staff and families
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Current Employee Working with Children check or willingness to obtain one

Required skills

• Good communication and relational skills
• Desirable: working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place
• Desirable: intermediate computer skills
