Teacher Heavy Vehicles / Mobile Plant (Paid to Learn)

About the role

TAFE NSW is looking for a teacher of Heavy Vehicles / Mobile Plant to join its Wetherill Park campus on a permanent full-time basis. The role is aimed at inspiring the next generation of students in this field. The advertised salary package is $111,798 to $132,585, which includes a salary range of $98,499 to $116,813 per year plus employer superannuation and annual leave loading, depending on experience.

Required profile

• Appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications, including a minimum of Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Mobile Plant Technology, or equivalent.
• A Fair-Trading NSW tradesperson certificate (license) in Motor Mechanic, or eligibility to obtain one if applying from interstate.
• Evidence of a teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training, or willingness to complete the 14-week Paid to Learn course.
• At least five years of post-qualification experience relevant to the industry, gained within the last five years.
• A Working with Children Check is a prerequisite for this child-related position.
• Eligibility: Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport.
