Tax Manager – Advisory and Compliance

About the role

Join a leading tax advisory team in Sydney’s CBD, working on a balanced mix of compliance and advisory projects for corporate, private and listed clients across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate, private and listed clients, delivering complex tax compliance engagements including income tax, tax effect accounting, FBT and tax reporting.
• Provide practical advice on corporate restructures, tax consolidations, international tax, tax governance and employment taxes.
• Support clients through transactions, due diligence, mergers, acquisitions and growth initiatives.
• Review work prepared by team members, offering coaching, mentoring and technical guidance.
• Oversee workflow, engagement profitability and client deadlines across multiple engagements.

Required profile

• Degree qualification with completed CA or CPA; CTA or Master of Taxation is highly regarded.
• 5+ years of Australian corporate tax experience in a Big 4, mid‑tier or reputable chartered accounting firm.
• Proven ability to research complex tax issues and deliver clear, commercially focused advice.
• Experience managing client portfolios and building long‑term trusted relationships.
