Tax Accountant

About the role

Our client, a well‑established accounting, tax and advisory firm based south of Perth, is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join their client‑services team. You will work directly with managers and partners, providing tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of businesses, investors and professionals across Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and self‑managed superannuation funds.
• Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and FBT returns.
• Deliver strategic tax planning and business advisory services that add value to clients.
• Research tax legislation and provide practical solutions to complex tax matters.
• Build trusted client relationships through proactive communication and high‑quality service.
• Mentor junior accountants and support their technical development.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on advisory engagements, business structuring and complex client matters.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of Australian public‑practice accounting experience.
• Accounting degree; CA or CPA qualification completed or in progress is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
