Systems Administrator - Safety & Asset

About the role

Transport for NSW is recruiting a Systems Administrator for its Regulatory Applications (Safety & Asset Domain) in Parramatta. The role covers the ongoing support, maintenance, monitoring and enhancement of application and infrastructure environments for existing and new business systems, acting as a key operational contact for business stakeholders. It is a permanent full-time Grade 8 position, paid $141,678 to $158,677 plus super.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incidents, service requests, problem resolution, deployments and upgrades across BAU operations and project initiatives
• Ensure the reliability and performance of development, test and production environments
• Collaborate with project teams, vendors and support partners to deliver technical solutions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of system performance, resilience and support processes
• Take part in a 24/7 on-call roster

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role and 10+ years in technology
• Experience supporting and maintaining multiple application environments across the software development lifecycle, including parallel development, testing and production
• Strong communication, consultation and stakeholder management skills, with a customer focus and ability to meet tight deadlines and service levels

Nice to haves

• Track record in banking and financial services roles
• Experience with enterprise CDN and network security technologies such as Akamai and Palo Alto
• Degree in a relevant STEM discipline

The role is hybrid: typically five days per month from the Parramatta office and five from another TfNSW office, ideally with Mondays, Wednesdays and alternating Fridays in Parramatta. Applications close 11:59 PM on Monday 2 November 2026.
