Data & Reporting Analyst - NSW Government Digital Workplace

About the role

A major NSW Government department (20,000+ users) is undergoing a strategic digital workplace transformation. Randstad is recruiting a Data & Reporting Analyst on a contractor basis in Parramatta, working with legacy applications, evaluating Power Platform suitability, tracking access and redundancies, and building executive reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, clean and analyse legacy application data using SQL.
• Design interactive Power BI dashboards with granular drill-down capability.
• Assess the application landscape to identify redundancies, expired access and Power Platform migration potential.
• Present strategic insights and reports to project leaders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in data or reporting analytics within a large-scale environment.
• Eligible candidates are Australian citizens, permanent residents or New Zealand citizens; a national police check is required.

Required skills

• Strong Power BI proficiency, including custom dashboards and drill-downs.
• Solid SQL for data extraction and querying.

What we offer

• Rate of $625 per day plus superannuation.
• Initial 5 days onsite, then hybrid flexibility in a few weeks.
• Contract from early 2026 until 30 June 2027, with possibility of extension.
