System Administrator

About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a System Administrator to join the C-17A Globemaster III sustainment services team at RAAF Base Amberley. You will be responsible for ensuring secure, reliable access to critical ICT systems that support Australia’s strategic airlift capability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, administer and record system access for C-17A ICT environments.
• Monitor system events, coordinate updates and manage software licensing with vendors.
• Perform software maintenance, resolve system failures and manage interfaces between C-17A ICT systems and CIOG networks.
• Support the Air Mobility Group – Cyber team in achieving cyber‑worthiness and security accreditation for ICT support systems.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols including CISCO, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to hold and maintain Defence security clearance (NV1).
