Superintendent - Structures

About the role

We are seeking a Superintendent to lead the structures scope of the Gateway to Bruce Upgrade (G2BU) project in North Brisbane. The role will oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of complex civil works, ensuring safety, quality and schedule targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate labour, plant, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project milestones and productivity targets.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes, short‑term look‑ahead schedules and site‑specific methodologies.
• Champion a strong safety culture by implementing HSEQ plans and adhering to the “Safety is My Way” philosophy.
• Provide leadership to site supervision teams, ensuring resources and support functions are optimised.
• Manage workforce and industrial relations matters, acting as the primary contact for site personnel and union issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, government authorities and project partners to resolve issues and drive performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading civil construction teams on large‑scale, tier‑1 projects.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling and HSEQ requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
