Superintendent Site Improvement

About the role

Whitehaven Coal is looking for an experienced Superintendent Site Improvement to join its leadership team at Blackwater Mine. The role leads the identification, development and execution of improvement opportunities across mining operations, working closely with operational, technical and maintenance teams to deliver sustainable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence programs across the site
• Drive productivity, efficiency and cost-improvement initiatives
• Facilitate problem-solving and root cause analysis processes
• Monitor and report on improvement project performance and benefits realisation
• Partner with operational leaders to identify opportunities and remove barriers to performance
• Champion change management and continuous improvement methodologies

Required profile

• Experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, business improvement or a similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of mining, heavy industry or large-scale operational environments
• Proven ability to lead improvement projects and drive change
• Strategic, influential leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and engages stakeholders across all levels
• Commitment to safety leadership and team development
