Structural Engineer – Construction Engineering (Property)

About the role

Join Robert Bird Group’s Construction Engineering team in Melbourne and work at the interface between design and construction. You will help deliver some of the city’s most significant commercial, residential, health, education and mixed‑use projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design innovative temporary works and assess their impact on permanent structures.
• Produce detailed structural designs and documentation for permanent infrastructure.
• Provide staged analysis, construction methodology and temporary works design services from tender through construction.
• Collaborate with clients, Project Directors and Associates on current and future projects.
• Manage project resources and ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Support RBG’s reputation for innovation, technical excellence and quality.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification with a focus on structural engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience on commercial, residential, health, education or institutional projects is highly regarded.
• Experience with temporary works design is preferred but not mandatory.
