Stores Officer (Receiving & Distribution)

About the role

Novotel Surfers Paradise, part of the Accor Group, is looking for a reliable and organised Stores Officer to join its hotel team. This hands-on part-time role covers receiving, checking, storing and distributing stock and supplies so that hotel departments have what they need to deliver great guest experiences. Hours are 8am-12 noon Monday to Friday, minimum 20 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, checking accuracy against purchase orders and invoices.
• Unload, label, store and rotate stock according to company procedures.
• Deliver goods and supplies to hotel departments on time.
• Maintain storerooms in a clean, organised and safe condition.
• Monitor stock levels and help with inventory counts and stocktakes.
• Report damaged, missing or incorrect items to suppliers and management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and record keeping.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and trolleys safely.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, receiving, logistics or hospitality role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Able to lift and move stock safely in a physically active environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with several departments.
• Positive attitude, reliability and strong work ethic.
• Current RSA valid in QLD.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with inventory systems is desirable.
