Store Manager in Training – Pitt Street Flagship

About the role

Bailey Nelson is looking for a Store Manager in Training for its flagship Pitt Street store in Sydney. The role is an intensive, fully supported leadership launchpad that helps you move directly into running your own store, with a fast track to becoming a Store Manager in 6-12 months.

The programme suits two profiles: a retail store manager with no optical experience who will learn the clinical and dispensing side, or someone with an optical background who will fast-track retail management, P&L ownership and flagship leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support store operations, including running the store 2 days a week
• Support the Store Manager and Optometrist in driving performance
• Own the customer journey and make every interaction exceptional, from clinic to frame styling to final dispense

Required profile

• Proven retail, hospitality or optical leadership experience at supervisor or management level in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• Ability to lead from the front, manage shifts and keep a team motivated
• Track record of meeting sales budgets and driving retail KPIs such as Multipairs, ATV and conversion
• Experience running daily store operations, managing rosters and coaching team members
• Full-time availability on a 38-hour roster, Sunday to Thursday
