State Profit Protection Manager - NSW/ACT

About the role

Kmart Australia is looking for a State Profit Protection Manager for NSW/ACT. You will act as a strategic business partner to operational leaders across the state, driving initiatives that protect profitability, strengthen operational controls and reduce business risk. You will influence senior stakeholders, lead governance and compliance activities and turn national Profit Protection strategies into measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Profit Protection performance across the state, improving shrink, governance, compliance and business risk reduction
• Advise State and Zone Managers on Profit Protection and hold them accountable for agreed actions and results
• Lead the execution of national Profit Protection strategies and support high-risk store interventions and recovery plans
• Identify emerging risks, operational vulnerabilities and loss trends and implement proactive interventions
• Coach operational leaders and deliver continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen controls and processes
• Champion new technologies, governance frameworks and profit protection programs
• Use data and insights to influence senior leadership decisions and set state performance priorities

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Profit Protection, Loss Prevention, Retail Operations or a related business leadership role, with a track record of measurable outcomes
• Experience leading governance, compliance and audit programs in a complex retail environment
• Ability to influence and hold senior operational leaders accountable across large, complex teams
• Previous retail experience and a strong understanding of operational process controls and profit protection principles
