Solution Architect – SaaS Banking Platform

About the role

As a Solution Architect you will become the technical champion for Engine by Starling, explaining the SaaS platform, uncovering client requirements and shaping solutions across sales, delivery and ongoing client success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical designs during implementation, working with client engineering leads and service owners.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into roadmap decisions and future capabilities.
• Provide expert guidance to client teams through documentation, API specs and sequence diagrams.
• Support existing clients, troubleshoot issues and drive additional capability adoption.

Required profile

• Experience delivering end‑to‑end software engineering or solution architecture across the delivery lifecycle.
• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to build relationships with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel nationally across Australia and New Zealand and occasional international trips.

Required skills

• Design and integration of RESTful APIs and OpenAPI specifications.
• Creation of sequence diagrams for solution documentation.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and large‑scale cloud applications.
