Software Engineer

About the role

As one of the earliest engineers at Cable, you will shape the core product, own end‑to‑end development and help build an AI‑native platform that powers a new kind of electricity retailer.

Key responsibilities

• Own large product areas from business problem through interface, data model and backend, and ship them to real customers.
• Work daily with coding agents, providing context and deciding what is ready to ship, then turn successful patterns into reusable workflows.
• Collaborate with energy specialists and GTM teams to bring their ideas into production without bottlenecks.
• Set engineering foundations, balancing security, billing and reliability with simplicity and speed.
• Turn complex energy and data problems—meter readings, wholesale prices, weather—into usable products.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience shipping software in a high‑standard engineering environment.
• Deep understanding of the modern full‑stack stack and ability to take ambiguous problems to well‑designed solutions.
• Comfort with AI‑native tooling and a mindset of continuously improving workflows.
• Strong engineering judgment, ownership, adaptability and clear communication.
