Software Engineer II – Backend (CIAM)

About the role

Join Mitti’s Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) team to design and deliver backend services for a large‑scale SaaS platform. You will work with modern technologies and help modernise the identity platform while gaining deep expertise in authentication and user lifecycle flows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services using Golang, PostgreSQL and AWS in a distributed SaaS environment.
• Own end‑to‑end feature delivery, collaborating with product, design and other engineers.
• Develop and maintain authentication flows such as signup, login, MFA, SSO and user orchestration.
• Support migration from legacy identity services using feature flags, backwards compatibility and staged rollouts.
• Ensure security best practices when handling credentials and tokens.

Required profile

• Self‑directed problem solver who can drive well‑scoped tasks to completion.
• Good judgement on when to push forward or raise risks early.
• Effective collaborator with product, design and engineering teams, able to explain technical constraints to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a rapidly re‑architected domain with shifting priorities.

Required skills

• Strong backend programming experience, preferably with Golang.
• Relational data modelling and PostgreSQL expertise.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services and production deployment.
• Familiarity with authentication standards such as OpenID Connect, SAML, OAuth 2.0 and tools like Auth0.
• Experience with Kafka for infrastructure messaging.
