Software Engineer (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Sydney on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong engineering fundamentals and be comfortable working with modern development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using TypeScript or JavaScript while adhering to SOLID, DRY, and composition‑over‑inheritance principles.
• Build, configure, and optimise CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitHub Actions.
• Implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, UI) and contribute to test frameworks.
• Collaborate on DevSecOps initiatives, including dependency management and security remediation.
• Optionally support .NET/C# or Java components as needed.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering fundamentals (SOLID, DRY, composition over inheritance).
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript development.
• Understanding of automated testing (UI, integration, unit).
• Familiarity with Playwright is highly desirable.
• Background in .NET/C# or Java is advantageous.
• Exposure to DevSecOps, dependency management, and security remediation.
