Social Visitor - Games & Activities (Trivia)

About the role

HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme, is looking for a volunteer to join its group of older adults at the Darlinghurst Social Club. The role is to act as resident Trivia Whiz, creating and running fun, engaging trivia sessions on Fridays from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. No professional quizmaster experience is required.

Key responsibilities

• Create trivia questions
• Host quizzes with enthusiasm and good humour
• Keep score and celebrate the winners
• Encourage participation and conversation
• Think on your feet when discussions go off-topic

Required profile

• Loves engaging with people and enjoys trivia, games and fun facts
• Speaks clearly and confidently
• Reliable and consistent, with a positive energy and sense of humour
• 18 years or older
• No professional quizmaster experience needed

The volunteer works one afternoon a week. HammondCare arranges and pays for NDIS Workers Screening. The site is not eligible for Centrelink-approved volunteering and cannot be used for Centrelink volunteer hour sign-off.
