Social Media Coordinator – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join the Portmans team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for planning, creating and executing both paid and organic social media content across multiple platforms to strengthen the brand’s presence and engage its audience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the social media communications plan in line with the brand’s marketing calendar.
• Review current social media practices and continuously improve content quality and engagement.
• Create innovative social content such as behind‑the‑scenes videos, store‑visit footage, product styling clips and specialist interviews.
• Moderate social communities, maintaining a professional yet distinctive brand voice.
• Execute daily social activities – posting, sharing, engaging, liking – to increase reach.
• Apply digital communication best practices and stay up‑to‑date with emerging trends.
• Manage social media activities within the allocated budget.

Required profile

• Currently studying or holding a tertiary qualification in marketing, digital media, creative writing or a related field.
• Strong understanding of retail environments and social media platforms.
• Demonstrated writing, design or creative abilities.
• Knowledge of retail industry KPIs.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Effective time‑management, prioritisation and adaptability to changing priorities.
