Social Media & Community Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Social Media & Community Lead to own the ANZ social strategy and day‑to‑day channel management for Salomon’s trail, outdoor and sportstyle brands. Working closely with the Head of Marketing and external creative partners, you will shape the local content calendar, manage creators and agencies, and use performance data to continuously improve our social presence.

Key responsibilities

• Own the ANZ social strategy, channel mix and content calendar across run, outdoor and sportstyle.
• Translate global campaigns and product priorities into platform‑native content for the local audience.
• Set and protect the local tone of voice across captions, comments and broadcast channels.
• Build, grow and foster the Salomon ANZ community, treating comments, DMs and community groups as core work.
• Connect online community activity to offline events and bring those moments back onto social channels.
• Track social, sport and cultural trends and decide which to engage with.
• Create and publish reactive content at speed, including on‑the‑fly capture and editing.
• Develop and manage a local network of KOLs, athletes and ambassadors.
• Write clear creator briefs that protect brand messaging while allowing creator voice.
• Report on channel and content performance and adjust strategy accordingly.

Required profile

• Lives across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Strava and emerging platforms and understands each platform’s role.
• Proven track record building and sustaining an engaged online community.
• Deep knowledge of the ANZ run, outdoor and sportstyle consumer, media consumption and shopping habits.
• Comfortable capturing and editing strong content quickly and independently.
• Experience in social media and/or community management, preferably brand‑side or agency‑side within sport, outdoor, fashion or lifestyle.
• Uses social, web and commercial data to inform decisions and uncover opportunities.
