Social Content Lead

About the role

Akcelo is seeking a creative Social Content Lead to craft short‑form, platform‑native stories for top Australian social accounts. You will ideate, produce and optimise social‑first content that resonates across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and more.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and generate content ideas that address business objectives.
• Lead impromptu content opportunities around cultural moments and advise on campaign asset implementation.
• Manage the content calendar, oversee pipeline trafficking, and balance brand priorities and frequency.
• Produce visually engaging video, image and copy assets that align with broader social and campaign strategies.
• Monitor real‑time performance, extract insights and recommend improvements.
• Work closely with creatives, strategists and social teams to ensure best‑practice format, length and visual identity.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of experience in content production, preferably in an agency or client‑direct environment.
• Strong communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of social formats, strategy and emerging technology.
• Ability to work under urgency, switch contexts quickly and be proactive.
• Passion for culture, sub‑cultures and a desire to share personal insights.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent written skills.
