Site Supervisor

About the role

Built is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead construction activities on‑site, ensuring work is completed to drawings, specifications and industry standards. You will coordinate crews, subcontractors and suppliers while maintaining safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation, inspection, testing and commissioning activities on the construction site.
• Ensure all work complies with codes, standards and project specifications.
• Direct and manage the Built on‑site workforce, communicate variations, disputes and contractual matters to the Site/Project Manager.
• Identify training needs, guide subcontractors and coordinate subcontractor and supplier activities.
• Manage material handling requirements in collaboration with building management.
• Monitor preliminary costs, attend programme and site meetings as required.
• Analyse dimension shows, plans and survey drawings for discrepancies and non‑varying dimensions.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification or tertiary education related to construction.
• Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Strong initiative, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Positive, hands‑on attitude with a “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” work ethic.
• Leadership qualities that inspire team members to deliver quality outcomes.

Required skills

• Interpretation of construction drawings and survey plans.
• Coordination of material handling and subcontractor activities.
• Basic cost management and budgeting on‑site.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards and safety procedures.
