Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with DevOps

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Site Reliability Engineer with strong DevOps and platform lifecycle expertise to ensure the reliability, performance and scalability of our production platforms in Sydney. The role combines software engineering, operations and platform ownership to drive proactive upgrades, stability improvements and strategic reliability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain availability, performance, scalability and resiliency of production platforms.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident reviews.
• Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning and reliability enhancements.
• Own end‑to‑end lifecycle of infrastructure and DevOps platforms (Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, artifact repositories).
• Plan and execute upgrades for Kubernetes clusters and add‑ons (Harbor, Vault, Nexus, ELK), CI/CD tools (GitLab, ArgoCD) and databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Develop and maintain IaC modules using Terraform and Pulumi.
• Design resilient architectures with HA, DR and fault‑tolerance, and build automated self‑healing mechanisms.
• Automate operational tasks with Python or Bash and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
• Operate production‑grade Kubernetes clusters (Rancher/OpenShift) and support application teams.
• Build and maintain observability systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and design actionable alerts.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps and platform lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to improve platform reliability, scalability and security.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and experience leading incident response.
