Site Operations Manager

About the role

A NSW Government agency delivering a major, high-profile operation is looking for an experienced operations professional to take ownership of a significant temporary site. The role is hands-on and covers the full site lifecycle, from set-up through day-to-day operations to decommissioning. It is advertised as a temporary full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee site set-up and ongoing operations
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and service providers
• Manage site access, traffic movement, logistics and temporary infrastructure
• Ensure WHS, risk and emergency requirements are in place
• Develop operational plans, schedules and daily run sheets
• Work with logistics, technology, security and internal teams
• Manage contracts and budgets
• Lead and support a small team and deal with issues as they arise

Required profile

• Experienced operations or site professional, comfortable owning a complex operational environment
• Ideally experience managing a busy or complex site and managing contractors, suppliers and stakeholders
• Solid understanding of WHS, risk and emergency procedures
• Experience managing budgets and contracts
• Current WHS and First Aid qualifications, or willingness to obtain them
