Site Manager – Residential Construction

About the role

Metricon Homes, Australia's largest home builder, is recruiting a Site Manager to run a busy residential construction site in Deebing Heights and surrounding suburbs. Reporting to the Building Support Manager, the Site Manager manages the site's operations so that trades meet quality, timelines and OH&S objectives, and delivers defect-free homes. The role is the primary point of contact for clients during the build.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and run the site independently, overseeing the overall execution and quality finish of homes
• Act as the main client contact during the build and proactively resolve build issues
• Maximise site production by ensuring subcontract trade availability and scheduling trades on site
• Review building practices and procedures and ensure compliance with cost and project management practices
• Ensure build quality meets the highest standard and hand over keys and the settlement pack to customers

Required profile

• Must have experience as a Site Manager in the residential building industry
• Cert IV in Construction and a valid QBCC license
• Experience developing and managing networks with trades
• Well versed in new homes contracts

Required skills

• Project management skills
• Knowledge of building regulations, OHS regulations and QA systems
• Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail
