Site Manager – Residential Construction

About the role

Metricon Homes, Australia's largest home builder, is recruiting a Site Manager to run a busy residential construction site in the Holland Park area and surrounding suburbs. Reporting to the Building Support Manager, the Site Manager manages and runs the site independently, delivering defect-free homes that meet quality, timeline and OH&S objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for clients during the build and oversee the overall execution and quality finish of homes
• Manage overall site performance and maximise site production by ensuring subcontract trade availability
• Schedule and coordinate trades on site and proactively resolve build issues with clients
• Review building practices and procedures and ensure compliance with cost and project management practices
• Foster a customer-focused, team-oriented culture and hand over keys and the settlement pack to customers

Required profile

• Must have experience as a Site Manager in the residential building industry
• Cert IV in Construction and a valid QBCC licence
• Experience developing and managing networks with trades
• Well versed in new homes contracts

Required skills

• Project management, building regulations, OHS regulations and QA systems
• Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail
