Site Manager – Fit‑out Projects

About the role

The client is a market‑leading fit‑out and refurbishment contractor seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead high‑spec hospitality, residential and commercial projects across the CBD and surrounding areas. Reporting to a Project Manager, you will be the primary on‑site authority, responsible for quality, programme delivery and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site HSE and quality inductions for all staff and subcontractors.
• Maintain daily site diaries and manage key project issues.
• Liaise with statutory bodies, ensuring all notifications and inspections are completed.
• Oversee site compound, amenities and logistics, coordinating inspections with clients, authorities and consultants.
• Assist the Senior Project Manager with scopes of work and manage defect lists prior to finishing.

Required profile

• Trade or building‑related qualification.
• 5–10 years of site supervision experience on projects ranging from $500k to $10 m+.
• Construction Safety Induction (White) card and Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of building‑site legislation, regulations and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
