Site Manager - $30M+ Commercial Refurbishment

About the role

A national building contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver a $30M+ commercial refurbishment project from early works through to handover. It is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in structured environments and can create, manage and drive a detailed construction programme alongside the Project Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain and drive the construction schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Coordinate trades, suppliers and consultants to meet programme targets
• Manage daily site operations, workflow sequencing and site logistics
• Enforce WHS, quality and environmental standards
• Monitor progress against the programme and resolve delays proactively
• Oversee QA management through to practical completion
• Ensure documentation, inspections and compliance requirements are met

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build commercial or refurbishment projects
• Strong capability in programme planning and schedule management
• Confidence working with Project Managers and commercial teams
• Excellent subcontractor coordination and problem-solving skills
• Trade background or construction management qualification

• Understanding of Australian construction standards
