Graduate/Junior Engineer - BESS Project

About the role

A major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project near Canberra is looking for a Graduate Engineer or Construction Management Graduate. The role provides hands-on experience on a large-scale energy project, working alongside the Project Engineers and Site Management team across construction, quality, documentation and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineers with day-to-day construction activities and subcontractor coordination
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Prepare and maintain ITPs, quality records and inspection documentation
• Maintain document control, RFIs, NCRs and project registers
• Maintain project documentation and reporting through Procore
• Assist with progress tracking, productivity reporting and programme updates
• Attend site inspections, quality walk-downs and completion activities
• Support compliance with site safety, quality and environmental requirements

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or similar) or Construction Management
• Previous construction or site experience is advantageous
• Understanding of construction processes, quality documentation and project reporting
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communication skills
• Current Australian driver's licence and full Australian working rights

Required skills

• Procore experience is highly regarded
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
