Site Engineer – FIFO – Rockhampton Solar Farm

About the role

Join Unyte’s high‑performing team as a Site Engineer on a large‑scale solar farm project near Rockhampton. This FIFO role offers the chance to contribute to Queensland’s renewable energy future while developing your civil engineering career.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and manage three‑week look‑ahead programmes.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors on site.
• Monitor productivity, project performance and quality assurance processes.
• Assist with procurement, subcontractor management and contract administration.
• Prepare project variations, commercial reporting and manage RFIs, Inspection & Test Plans.
• Lead safety initiatives, conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Maintain project documentation and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Site Engineer on civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and safety practices.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and construction management software.
