Site Civil Project Engineer - Wind

About the role

Morson Edge is recruiting, on behalf of Tilt Renewables, an experienced Civil Project Engineer to support the construction of the Palmer Wind Farm Project in Adelaide. This is a hands-on, site-based client-side assurance role, acting as the client's representative and providing technical oversight, quality assurance and compliance verification across civil construction activities. It is not a traditional construction delivery position.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections of bulk earthworks, access roads, drainage, concrete foundations and associated civil Balance of Plant (BoP) works.
• Verify that construction complies with approved engineering drawings, specifications, Australian Standards and contractual requirements.
• Review contractor quality assurance documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), test results, lot registers and hold/witness points.
• Identify construction defects and non-conformances and manage NCRs through to resolution.
• Monitor activities such as excavation, compaction, reinforcement installation and concrete pours, and witness material, compaction and concrete testing.
• Work with contractors, site supervisors and engineering teams to resolve technical and quality issues, and coordinate with the Owner's Engineer on inspections and design clarifications.
• Track progress, flag risks and update project management regularly, while keeping accurate site records and inspection reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction, ideally on major infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
• Previous experience on wind farm projects is highly regarded but not essential.
• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, site inspections, testing and construction compliance.
• Experience working with contractors, engineering consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong communication skills and comfort in a hands-on, site-based environment.

Required skills

• Technical experience in bulk earthworks, road construction, drainage, concrete foundations and civil works.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and construction standards.
