About the role
SRG Global Mining Services is looking for skilled Shotfirers to join its long-term projects at the Cowal (West Wyalong) operations in NSW. The work is with a professional team that values clear communication, safety and efficiency, supported by modern equipment and industry-leading facilities. Both full-time and casual positions are available, on a 7:7 day-shift roster, with transport provided by the company and accommodation for people living outside the West Wyalong area.
Key responsibilities
- Support the senior shotfirer with blasting activities
- Follow load and tie-in plans
- Inspect explosive vehicles and magazines
- Handle explosives safely
- Clean and secure blast areas
- Report incidents and complete documentation
- Spot the MMU and stemming loader on the blast pattern
Required profile
- Previous experience as a shotfirer
- Blasting Explosives User License (NSW)
- Valid manual driver's licence
- Security clearance
- Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
Required skills
- Knowledge of electronic blasting (desirable)
