Remote Diagnostic Technician – Automotive

About the role

The Remote Diagnostic Technician delivers precise, real‑time diagnostic, programming and ADAS calibration support to repairers across Australia. Working remotely, you will troubleshoot a wide range of modern vehicle systems, ensuring safety‑critical components are repaired to manufacturer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret repair procedures and follow them to successful outcomes.
• Document all work comprehensively and report findings with accuracy.
• Maintain high‑accuracy execution of diagnostic tasks on all vehicle makes and models.
• Share knowledge with the team and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and equipment.
• Communicate confidently with all levels of staff and customers.

Required profile

• Fully qualified automotive technician with a current, clean full driving licence (manual & automatic).
• Minimum 5 + years hands‑on automotive repair experience and at least 2 + years as a diagnostic or master technician.
• OEM training or dealer‑level experience is highly regarded.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in interpreting wiring diagrams and technical data.

Required skills

• Experience with ADAS, ABS, Body Control, SRS and EPS systems.
• Competence using multiple vehicle diagnostic platforms and software.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate diagnostic tools.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate reports.
