- Sign off funding and disbursements, reconcile funds, and check mortgages and titles are registered after settlement.
- Act as escalation point for failed or delayed settlements and discharges, disputes and exceptions.
- Coach a team of Settlement Officers, run one-on-ones and performance reviews, and build capability through training and quality checks.
- Give stakeholders a monthly forecast of settlements and discharges, flag slippage early, and keep brokers informed.
- Ensure compliance with NCCP, AML/CTF, privacy, responsible lending and internal policies, maintain internal controls, log errors and breaches, and report weekly on volumes, turnaround times and errors.
- Work with the manager to fix bottlenecks in processes, handoffs and systems, including automation.

- Proven experience in a senior role managing property settlements, ideally in a financial institution, panel solicitor or related industry.
- Hands-on experience across the full settlement and discharge lifecycle, ideally at a fast-moving lender.
- A record of improving a process and proving it with numbers.
- Experience leading a settlements team, including coaching staff and handling underperformance.
- Clear, direct communication with brokers, solicitors and senior internal stakeholders.
What we offer
- Extra days off: birthday leave, kudos leave and an additional day of paid leave for life events.
- Two weeks of remote work per year.
- Training and development budget and internal learning programmes.
- Generous parental leave.
- Discounted gym membership.
- Catered team lunches and a social calendar of events.
