Sessional Lecturer – Early Childhood Education

About the role

We are seeking a passionate sessional lecturer to teach Early Childhood Education at our Adelaide campus. The position offers flexible class times—including morning, afternoon, evening and online sessions—to fit your schedule while delivering engaging, high‑quality learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assess Early Childhood Education courses using both on‑campus and digital methodologies.
• Facilitate student engagement, provide consultation, and communicate student issues to the Head of Faculty.
• Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of subject content.
• Participate in weekly subject forums, mark assessments within set timeframes, and engage in moderation and benchmarking activities.
• Attend faculty meetings, student consultations, and contribute to scholarly practice as required.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s qualification in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
• Minimum 2 years (preferably 5 years or more) of professional experience in the discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate both face‑to‑face and online learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
