SEO Specialist (Part‑time, South Brisbane)

About the role

Ravel, a strategic marketing and creative agency based in South Brisbane, is seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to join its digital marketing team on a part‑time basis (three days per week). The role is hands‑on and will own the end‑to‑end SEO strategy for client accounts, including the emerging field of Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) for AI‑driven and zero‑click search.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute holistic SEO and AEO strategies that improve visibility across traditional search, featured snippets and AI answer engines.
• Conduct technical SEO audits, work with developers to implement fixes, and manage on‑page optimisation (keyword targeting, metadata, internal linking, content structure).
• Perform keyword research, search intent and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
• Plan and deliver SEO‑driven content marketing, creating and optimising blog posts, landing pages and website copy.
• Monitor performance using Google Analytics, Search Console and other SEO platforms, producing regular reports.
• Collaborate with copywriters, designers and developers to ensure content aligns with brand, UX and conversion goals.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in SEO or a closely related digital marketing role.
• Strong understanding of technical, on‑page and off‑page SEO principles.
• Knowledge of Answer Engine Optimisation and the evolving AI, voice and zero‑click search landscape.
• Proven ability to design and deliver strategies that generate measurable organic growth.
• Excellent written communication and copy‑editing skills.
