Senior/Lead Hydraulic Engineer – Building Services

About the role

As a Senior/Lead Hydraulic Engineer in our Building Services team in Brisbane, you will drive the design and delivery of hydraulic solutions for a range of high‑impact projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to turn client concepts into practical, sustainable infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of hydraulic services design packages for mid‑ to large‑scale projects.
• Act as discipline lead, owning engineering outcomes from concept through to construction.
• Advise clients on complex hydraulic engineering challenges across sectors such as aviation, health, defence, data centres and event infrastructure.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers and other specialists to develop integrated design solutions.
• Support project coordination, reporting and quality assurance to ensure client satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and reliable delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered, RPQ, QBCC registration or active pursuit of equivalent accreditation.
• Proven experience in hydraulic building services design within a consulting, contractor or client‑side environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead design delivery and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.
