Senior Zoologist – Relocate to Perth

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced zoologist to lead fauna surveys across Western Australian bioregions. The role involves designing survey programs, ensuring compliance with state and Commonwealth guidelines, and supporting environmental impact assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake targeted and baseline fauna surveys across multiple bioregions in WA.
• Design fauna survey programs aligned with project requirements and regulatory expectations.
• Support environmental impact assessments, compliance monitoring and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare clear, high‑quality technical reports and contribute to approvals documentation.
• Engage with regulators to guide project delivery and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• 8+ years’ experience as a zoologist with both field and consulting exposure.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver fauna surveys, including planning and execution.
• Strong understanding of WA survey requirements and hands‑on experience in Western Australia.
• Consulting background with capability to manage client expectations and project deliverables.

Required skills
