Senior Web Developer

About the role

Refuel Creative, a fast-growing Adelaide digital agency, is looking for an Adelaide-based Senior Web Developer to lead development work for its clients' online projects. The role covers web apps, API integrations and HubSpot-related products, plus WordPress, HubSpot Content Hub and Shopify projects. It is open to 0.6-1.0 FTE with flexible daily hours.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of client websites, themes, web apps and API integrations, from design phase through to deployment and maintenance
• Build and maintain custom plugins and complex integrations, including HubSpot and WordPress sites and HubSpot Marketplace themes
• Work with clients to improve performance and conversion rates, and give feedback to designers on technical feasibility and accessibility
• Collaborate with remote web developers and contribute to internal projects that shape the company's future
• Mentor other developers, write technical documentation, and help grow the web development services

Required profile

• 5+ years of industry experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Web Development or similar, or equivalent industry experience
• Experience managing servers and databases, and with Cloudflare, Google Cloud or AWS and serverless platforms
• Active use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex and/or Cursor
• Team player who shares the company's values and wants a long-term career

Required skills

• HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, PHP and Git/GitHub
• APIs, HubSpot Content Hub and CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
• Google Workspace; UI/UX design and AI tool integration desirable but not essential
