Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Join AECOM’s Water Infrastructure team to work on major water projects across North Queensland, including pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs and treatment facilities. The role offers a blend of technical design, project management and commercial responsibilities in a supportive regional office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver water infrastructure projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, schedule and budget compliance.
• Lead project delivery, including business development, client liaison and multidisciplinary team coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary engineering qualification; RPEQ or CPEng highly regarded.
• Proven experience managing complex, multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and develop new business opportunities.

Required skills

• Water infrastructure design (pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs).
• Water and wastewater treatment plant design.
• Project delivery and commercial management.
