Senior UX Designer – Unpublished R&D Product

About the role

Riot is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join its Sydney R&D team and create player‑centered experiences for an unpublished product. You will own the design of major player‑facing features and help shape the product vision.

Key responsibilities

• Own UX design for significant features from discovery through implementation and iteration.
• Lead exploration of UX opportunities, define player problems, product goals and success measures.
• Produce design artifacts such as journey maps, wireframes, mockups, prototypes and implementation documentation.
• Establish and evolve UX patterns and design‑system contributions across game experiences.
• Partner with engineering, UI and technical teams during implementation to resolve design challenges.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience as a UX, Interaction or Product Designer on digital products or games.
• Proven end‑to‑end design ownership for complex features in cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills for both design and non‑design audiences.
• Portfolio demonstrating thoughtful, player‑centered design process and shipped work.

Required skills

• Figma for design systems, prototyping and documentation.
• Unreal Engine or other game development tools for implementation and prototyping.
