Senior Underwriter – Commercial Institutions (Financial Lines)

About the role

AIG is seeking a Senior Underwriter to drive growth and profitability in the Financial Lines division. You will underwrite new and renewal business across the corporate financial lines portfolio and build strong broker relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business in line with AIG guidelines and authority.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business while managing existing broker relationships.
• Monitor target accounts and progress against budget using reports and tools.
• Maintain accurate files and registers to support management reporting and policy issuance.
• Assist in implementing business plans and mentor junior underwriters.

Required profile

• Proven track record in underwriting financial lines insurance products.
• Experience in commercial insurance, finance, legal or related environments.
• Strong client‑oriented approach with ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Awareness of commercial sector trends affecting insurance.

Required skills

• Knowledge of D&O, EPL and crime insurance underwriting.
• Understanding of key business drivers in the financial lines space.
