Senior Tax & Business Advisory Advisor

About the role

ESV is seeking a Senior Advisor to join its fast‑growing business advisory and compliance team in Sydney CBD. You will work with a diverse client base—including startups, professionals and high‑net‑worth individuals—providing tax and business guidance while enjoying a strong focus on work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical research and deliver tax and business advice to clients.
• Manage compliance matters such as payroll tax, land tax, fringe benefit tax, stamp duty and ASIC requirements.
• Prepare financial statements and tax returns in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Respond to client inquiries and produce tailored advice.
• Meet KPIs covering productivity, billing targets, debtors, work‑in‑progress and write‑offs.
• Take on project assignments that support overall business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in a professional accounting practice in a Business Advisor capacity.
• Strong understanding of compliance matters and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Curious, solution‑focused mindset with a pride in delivering quality work.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
• Self‑driven, able to work autonomously and contribute innovative ideas.
• Currently pursuing or near completion of CA certification.
