Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our modern, tech‑driven accounting firm in Mt Gravatt, Brisbane. This role goes beyond routine compliance, offering the chance to work closely with Client Managers and Directors, engage with a diverse client portfolio, and build a pathway toward managing your own client base.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality accounting, taxation and advisory services to an allocated client portfolio.
• Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and related compliance obligations across various entity structures.
• Collaborate with Client Managers and Directors to provide accurate, timely and commercially relevant advice.
• Build and strengthen client relationships, leading client conversations independently as confidence grows.
• Support advisory solutions that add genuine value to clients.
• Maintain strong data integrity and adhere to internal processes and quality standards.
• Work with both accounting and wealth divisions to deliver integrated client outcomes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM).
• Experience using Karbon job‑management software.
• Familiarity with SuiteFiles document‑management system.
• Ability to prepare financial statements, income tax returns and BAS.
