Senior Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our high‑performing Melbourne team. Reporting to the Melbourne Survey Manager, you will deliver precise surveying services for built‑form construction projects, supporting engineering and construction delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform calculations, set‑out, as‑built and verification tasks for structural elements, gridlines and services on high‑rise projects.
• Produce accurate plans, measurements, calculations and reports for engineering and construction teams.
• Manage survey equipment, software and data‑management systems such as Leica, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Operate surveying instruments including total stations, GPS and theodolites to capture angles, distances and elevations.
• Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering continuous learning and professional development.

Required profile

• University qualification or TAFE Diploma in Surveying.
• Minimum 3 years of practical construction surveying experience, preferably on high‑rise or built‑form projects.
• Extensive knowledge of surveying instruments and software (e.g., Leica equipment, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12d).
• Valid driver’s licence and White Card.
• Proven ability to communicate with clients and understand their requirements.
