Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings)

About the role

AECOM is seeking a motivated and technically strong Senior Structural Engineer to join its Buildings + Places Structures team in Sydney. You will work on a diverse portfolio of building projects across sectors such as aviation, sport, culture, education, healthcare and transport.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate structural design and delivery for projects across multiple market sectors.
• Prepare and review structural analysis, calculations, design reports, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, the NCC/BCA and client requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, efficient and sustainable solutions.
• Manage project deliverables, timelines, budgets and stakeholder relationships.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in structural engineering, preferably within a consulting environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Australian citizenship is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SpaceGass, ETABS, RAPT and Structural Toolkit.
• Experience using SAP2000, RAM, IdeaStatiCa and Grasshopper (preferred).
